MEMBERSHIP
Membership is open to qualified individuals with formal training and demonstrated competence and achievement in the field of fishery science, conservation, and management and related research. An individual’s membership rank is based on their achievements in fisheries and related sciences.
MEMBERSHIP RANK
ASSOCIATE
Graduate student in fishery or related field of science (student associate) or college graduate employed in a fishery-related science field (professional associate).
MEMBER
Post graduate demonstration of competence and achievement with experience in the field of fishery science for at least five years.
FELLOW
Distinguished achievement with experience in the field of fishery science for at least 15 years.
EMERITUS
Retired members retain rank at point of retirement and full benefits of active memberships, but are no longer subject to annual dues.
