The Stock Assessment Program at the NOAA Fisheries, Pacific Islands Fisheries Science Center is hiring two Stock Assessment Scientist positions in Honolulu, HI. We are seeking candidates with PhDs to conduct domestic and/or international fishery stock assessments for Western Pacific stocks in support of fishery management. Anyone ranging from having just finished their PhDs in quantitative fishery science experience to having several years of experience conducting stock assessments are encouraged to apply.
These positions are being offered through the Joint Institute for Marine and Atmospheric Research (JIMAR), a Cooperative Institute of NMFS. JIMAR is part of the University of Hawaii; employees are state employees and the benefits package is very good.
