Marissa Hammond grew up in Wiscasset, ME where she spent her summers working on her father’s lobster boat. She received a BS in Marine Biology and Environmental Science from the University of New England and is currently working on her M.S. at Michigan State University. Marissa is studying Lake Whitefish population dynamics and their subsequent management within the Great Lakes region, and is passionate about ensuring the sustainability of economically valuable fisheries.
